Recycle Old Machines

Electrical Waste Recycling (WEEE) Information

At Aerify UK, we comply fully with the UK Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations. These rules ensure that electrical items are reused and recycled responsibly instead of ending up in landfill.

Our Take‑Back Service

We are a member of the Distributor Takeback Scheme (DTS), operated by Valpak.
This means when you buy a new electrical item from us, you can return your old one of the same type free of charge at your local council recycling centre. You do not need to bring old items back to our store — the DTS provides convenient drop‑off points nationwide.

How You Can Reuse and Recycle

Many electrical items can be reused, refurbished, or recycled. Please take unwanted equipment to your local recycling centre or use our DTS service so valuable materials can be recovered.

Why Electrical Waste Must Be Separated

Electrical and electronic equipment contains metals, plastics, and components that can be harmful if mixed with general waste. Separating ensures safe treatment and prevents pollution.

The Impact of Not Recycling

If electricals are thrown away with household waste, they may end up in landfill. This can release hazardous substances, waste valuable resources, and damage the environment.

The Crossed‑Out Wheelie Bin Symbol

You will see this symbol on many of your electrical products. It means the product must not be disposed of with household waste. Instead, it should be taken to a recycling facility or returned via our DTS service.

Our Commitment

  • We provide clear information to all customers about recycling options.
  • We ensure all products we sell carry the correct WEEE marking.
  • We keep records of our compliance through Valpak Retail Services.
