The Blueair Cabin P2i car air purifier - delivers clean air for the ride
On average, the air pollution inside your car can be up to 2.5 times higher than the air outside. Exhaust emissions from cars, busses, trucks and off-road equipment produce dust, soot, particulate matter (PM10 and PM2.5) and harmful gases such as nitrogen dioxide and volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
Breathing air in urban traffic with a high concentration of particulate matter and nitrogen dioxide, primarily from diesel fumes can aggravate existing respiratory diseases such as asthma, COPD, pulmonary fibrosis, pneumonia, and lung cancer and increase the likelihood of lifelong illnesses in the future.
Hence, having a highly efficient cabin air purifier that can help you and your loved ones stop breathing dangerous exhaust fumes and chemicals has never been more important.
HEPASilent™ technology removes over 99% of fine particles and motor vehicle emissions
Many people do not realise that they are not protected in their cars at all. Typical standard factory fitted cabin air filters only remove around 35-40% of the dangerous particulate matter, exposing you to harmful substances such as brake dust, gases, fumes and chemicals and almost 0% of harmful gases.
You could be passively smoking two cigarettes worth of nitrogen dioxide when sitting in traffic for just one hour because the air intake system of your car is typically right by the exhaust of the vehicles in front of you.
Thanks to the HEPASilent™ technology, which is trusted by millions of people to purify the air in their homes and offices, the Cabin P2i efficiently filters out:
- Up to 99% of fine particulate matter (0.3 - 1.0 microns)
- Up to 99% of sulphur dioxide (SO2)
- Over 90% of viruses and bacteria
- Smoke and VOCs, including formaldehyde
The Blueair Cabin P2i has been tested to meet or exceed global standards, such as GB, CARB, CB and AHAM.
Cleans the air inside a typical passenger car in minutes
Thanks to the HEPASilent™ technology, the 360° air inlet-outlet and the powerful fan the Cabin P2i can achieve a clean air delivery rate of 32 m3/h and effectively clean the air inside a typical sedan or hatchback in less than 6 minutes.
Secure, easy to use, and can be configured in minutes
The Cabin P2i in-car air purifier is easy to install and use. You simply fix it to the car's headrest using a mounting strap. The air purifier requires no changes to the car’s ventilation system and is powered using a standard 12v socket. You can control the unit either by flicking the control knob or by using your smartphone via Bluetooth.
The filter is completely user-serviceable and takes a matter of minutes to replace. It lasts approximately 6 months. The air purifier will alert you when it is time to replace the filter by showing 6 red LEDs on the control plug.
Intelligent laser particle sensor helps maintain air quality at all times
When "Auto" mode is active, the fan speed is automatically adjusted based on the readings from the built-in laser particle sensor. The air quality is shown by the colour segments on the control knob. You can also see detailed real-time data in the Blueair Friend app.
Quiet operation helps you drive without distractions
The Cabin P2i car air purifier is quiet. The humming noise it produces is not noticeable and in the normal fan speed setting, it is certainly not going to disturb the driver or the passengers. The Cabin P2i is whisper quiet at the lowest speed (35 dB(A)) and equivalent to the noise level of rainfall on the highest setting (55 dB(A)).
